Nanowrimo

Has anyone done this before? How did you find it? Is anyone planning on doing it this year. I'd really like to give it a bash. Think it would be good to do some pre-planning and get off to a good start.

I have hit just over 4000, which is great. I want to be in the position that by Monday I'm having to work out what goes next.

I'm at 3500 now and am intending to do another 1000 this evening

I’ve been v absent from this thread but I am actually NaNoing! I’m carrying on a WIP, but I’m only counting the words I’ve written of it in November, so I’m on 8,331, and hoping to crack 10k today. The total word count is 27k - can I finish this book in November?

How’s everyone else getting on?

I'm just over 6000 now, hoping for at least 1000 tonight. Ideally I'd aim to hit the 10k also but I have more time next week so can hopefully do a bit of catching up then.

I've just passed the 8k mark, didn't realise I was this far behind. Once my kid sleeps, I'm going to make a run for 10k!

I've managed to get to 8500 so still behind but I have some free time at weekend and next week isn't as busy.

Hit 15k. It'sgoing well at the moment.

Up to 21000 today. Going to try and get to 25k and halfway through by Monday.

Thought i’d Say hi! I’m at 42,000 words (but started in September. Don’t worry!). Aiming to finish it in November though. Aiming for around 67,000. It’s a bit odd. I don’t normally write particularly fast, so normally have time to replot and redraft as I go along. This time I haven’t re-read anything so have no idea whether it holds together or not!

I'm at the halfway point despite not doing much today. I'm nearly at the end of what I knew was happening, so I need to sort out the second half.

I've just hit 21000 so managed to catch up after starting to drop behind.
I'm just worried my ideas and plans for this story may not be enough to get me to 50000 but I'll keep plodding on and see what happens.

I'm 23k in and about to fall behind tonight as I'm tired, but pleased I've kept up so far. Also not sure my story could be a bit thin - I had loads of chapters planned out but have raced right through a lot of them!

My project had already been started so it's up to about 45k total, but the finished book needs to be about 80k I think really, so 70k wouldn't cut it even if I do finish 50k in november!

I'm now up to 32500 which I'm chuffed about as we're just halfway through fhe month. I've got a couple of days coming up where words will be difficult but I don't want to slip behind.

I've got to 36000 tonight, so pleased with that.

Did warn dh that I'd just googled how to poison London's water supply so watch out for a SWAT team arrival. He's rolled his eyes at me.
