Today I have googled:
"What will happen if you drank entire bottle of vodka neat?"
(Answer you would be dead)

Currently I'm following the google camera up Snowdon.

I am amused by two things. One: it was clearly carried by a person, and going at the same pace as the people in front as the same two people are ahead all the way up.
Two: It's going up in beautiful sunshine. One of the other paths is going up in rain. I'm imagining someone saying "oh I must to this path as it's better weather" Grin

A recipe for Hunter's Chicken.

I googled 'can a wild boar kill someone'.
The answer to that was: yes, they can. I also discovered that they're a lot bigger than I thought. Not cute little Asterix-type piggies at all.

Ooh, good question.

Today — how foundries work and Chopin’s funeral. Over the past week — early 20th c ways of preventing pregnancy, corset history, a building in Helsinki, Brittany coastal towns frequented by artists. .

The contents of a protective 'witch bottle' and whether typical boots that might be worn by goths would have 30 holes! When I wrote my blog I was always very amused to see what google searches had delivered people there - perverts in the main!

AliceScarlett · 25/11/2018 12:15

Bars in Brighton and if they look 'hispter'. Answer: they do.

Limpetry · 25/11/2018 12:22

Cherry, did you happen to go to the exhibition on witchcraft at the Ashmolean in Oxford? Don't know whether it's still running, but witchbottles featured prominently.

CherryValance · 25/11/2018 12:45

I didn't Limpetry but I did hear about it and would have liked to, I'm interested in witchcraft and folklore. I have seen the 'Hand of Glory' at Whitby museum though!

CherryValance · 25/11/2018 12:51

Ooh it's still on - I may try to fit it in, I thought it was over.

Hellomatey001 · 29/11/2018 12:41

I've googled "fatal medicine list" and "what medicines kill".

If someone close to me dies mysteriously, I'll be carted off before you can say "I was researching a novel!".

smornintime · 01/12/2018 17:02

Currently trying to work out what to spike a character’s drink with...any ideas? She needs to go a bit hyper then crash and not remember what happened. This is NOT something I have any idea about!

findingmyfeet12 · 01/12/2018 17:08

Habeas Corpus

HollowTalk · 01/12/2018 17:13

I googled how to permanently delete WhatsApp messages.

(By the way, I think you'd only die after all that vodka if you weren't used to it.)

HollowTalk · 01/12/2018 17:14

@smornintime So not Rohypnol, then?

YepImafraidIchangeditagain · 01/12/2018 18:44

I googled 'Lingchi' because I was reading something that mentioned it.
Don't click on images if you are squeamish 😬

YepImafraidIchangeditagain · 01/12/2018 18:47

Just to add...I am not writing about Lingchi but was looking up something unrelated for a project and after half an hour, ended up there.....how does the internet do that?

waterhorse123 · 01/12/2018 19:28

how much slavery England was responsible for compared with other countries - turns out Portugal is by far the worst culprit at nearly 6 million some 2 million of which were transported illegally. Who'd have thought it? And the French did 1.2 million and England 3 million.

WaterBird · 13/12/2018 06:25

OP, your post reminds me of one of my characters I was writing about (slightly different). She was 17, and to cope with life she would drink Cola at every meal every day with some in between. It really messes you up and I was quite surprised when I read up on it. If you drink too much of it, not only are you at risk of diabetes and rotting teeth, it also really affects the bladder system.
Current main character has a relative with a specific eating disorder and so I was looking up what one can do. Sadly, not as much as I thought.

darkriver198868 · 30/12/2018 12:16

Yesterday I googled How to disappear without a trace.

(It's easier then you think)
