What other hobbies do you have apart from writing?

Just curious really and posting for a bit of fun. Writing can of course be all consuming and in my case, I have little time for any other hobbies as I am currently bringing up my relatively young family. BUT there are other things that I would like to do eventually such as join a walking group and a book group, develop a website and perhaps learn a bit more about photography and volunteer in a charity shop (a cause close to my heart).
Anyone else...?

I read a lot and I’m a member of a book group. They’re obviously related to writing though.
I sing in a choir - love that.
I also do the gym. If I had more time I’d do a lot more yoga.

I'm involved in am dram. I also read a lot and enjoy cooking and baking. The only sporty thing I really like is swimming.

Running so I can eat.

Like the idea of belonging to a choir but sadly unable to sing. Also am dram...but vastly lacking in confidence to give it a try. Admire people who can run for any distance also.

Reading loads, the gym (bit less recently, oops), antiquing, I like visiting NT type houses/gardens, listening to music (whilst doing any of the others), I'd do more baking if it wasn't for trying to stop myself getting fat (plus slight boredom related to doing all the regular cooking), walking when we're somewhere nice, nature-y stuff (not sure if it counts as hobby but always enjoy birdwatching/rockpooling etc), art shows at museums, travel (obviously everyone likes holidays but I love going to a new town even).

My main problem is that 'reading' encompasses books, but also 'the whole internet at my fingertips on the same machine I do my writing on'!

I'd like to take up horse riding again too, but not really practical at the moment

The internet is a distraction for me when I am writing but I am now aware of it and trying to stay focused...it's as if I've got to procrastinate a bit first before I can get down to writing...or get a problem off my chest via mumsnet (usually child related issue lately) and then I am free to write - perhaps it is a bit like doing the suggested morning pages.

I am fascinated by rock pools in fact I love being near to the sea and in my fantasy life would have a second home (a small cottage near to the sea (a kind of bolt hole for writing).

I got several books for my birthday including one on procrastination - guess which one I haven't started yet?

Lavender I work backstage and it's really interesting and great fun. I would highly recommend.
