Or have done?

I’m have a few ideas for a children’s book, aimed towards younger children (3-6years maybe)

Just wondering how you found the process.

Thanks

I'd recommend Writing Picture Books by Ann Whitford Paul as a good place to start, plus of course reading loads of recently published picture books and analysing them.

Just finished and have interest from a couple of publishers. It seems to be an extremely difficult area to get into as the cost to publish children’s books are higher than say a normal novel due to needing to be a hardback, illustrators etc. That’s before any retailer takes 55 percent for stocking the book.

Keep going though it will be well worth it in the end!!

I have written some picture books, and am hoping to get an agent. I also write chapter books for older children for an online resource.

I would recommend joining the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators - or their Facebook group. Lots of info and opportunities.
