Aka Rachel Johnson, Jilly Cooper et al.

Just that, really.

Have a look at Liane Moriaty's Big Little Lies - it's sold a ton of copies.

And Jilly Cooper always sells (but I don't recall any bitchy school mums - which books were they?)

Gill Hornby The Hive too.

Jilly Cooper bitchy villagers in general. I've just watched the Man who Made Husbands Jealous and it's a tribute to my own life!

I would think it's all in the execution - if you put an original spin on it and do it well people will read it.

I'm reading Liane Moriarty now. That seems popular. You'll need a new angle...

katemiddletonsothermum · 07/04/2016 23:24

I have to buy that book! Thank you :)

Caprinihahahaha · 08/04/2016 11:13

Oh God, if only it was over.

SuckingEggs · 08/04/2016 11:26

Eh?

CadburysTastesVileNow · 15/04/2016 17:36

Hope not, I'm 70,000 words in ...

ApocalypseSlough · 15/04/2016 17:55

Cadbury's I don't write but I have a fab set piece of Alpha Mum arranging a yearly swimming birthday party to showcase her new boobs/ Melissa Obadish bikini/ fantastic life. Queue children being coached/ hating it/ au pairs and dishy brothers drafted in to save ordinary Mums from attending/ operations rescheduled/ Nigellaesque Burkhinis etc. if your book is broad brush you're welcome to use it!

ApocalypseSlough · 15/04/2016 22:27

Cue Blush

CadburysTastesVileNow · 16/04/2016 00:58

Oddly enough, I have a not dissimilar scenario. There is a dishy pool boy.

Great minds?
