Need to improve my grammatical skills. Not sure if this is the right topic.

I'm going to be involved in the writing and editing of a business publication and my grammatical skills leave a lot to be desired.

Should I sign up for a course, if so can anyone recommend one? Or is there a book available that could help me.

Has anyone vastly improved their skills in this area? I do actually have an A level in English but it was taken many years ago and I can't remember anything!

You could try Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss, which is widely regarded. (Haven't read it myself.)

Or look on Amazon. David Crystal is good. If he has a modern English usage book out, I'd get that.

Thank you. I will see if I can get hold of a copy of that book. Smile

Small enough to memorise is The Elements of Style book by Strunk andWhite, brilliant list of rules and an excellent deadpan tone.
