I know I don't stand a rat's chance in hell of winning - firstly, I'm not even sure it's truly fiction, as it's more biographical fiction than anything else, but then, it does say any genre apart from children's! Also as it's my first bash at anything like this, I'm sure I'll be bottom of the pile, but I can dream until May anyway!
It's come out as 5790 words, so not too much over I think.
So, anyone doing this? Have you done any before?
