Just watching the epic Christmas Fr Ted episode and a debate has broken out. Is the largest lingerie department in Cornelscourt (the old one) or St Stephen’s Green?

Just found this from IMDB "The lingerie department is that of 'Dunnes' in the town of Ennis, Co. Clare (which the series is shot in and around). Funnily enough, it is, as of this writing, the largest lingerie department in Ireland."

Ah, I never thought of looking on imbd. But really? Dunnes in Ennis really sold most knickers??

Are you including nightwear in the general lingerie dept? I think cournelscourt is tiny. Tights selection is brutal.

I always thought it was Cornelscourt, we all instantly recognised it when it first aired. Entirely possible that one Dunnes was ideal to another though! The Teen Bra box always takes me back. 😂

Current cornelscourt is terrible, but back in the day, in the original building, it was golden cleric worthy.

It is a fact that I have a multitude of knickers.

The vast majority of what might be deemed ‘lingerie’ is in the roofspace which I do not believe is accessible to any priests.

It is quite dark up there though so if, in a reverse of polar bears, the priests are covering their white collars with their <trademark> priest-black socks then it may well be riddled with the fuckers.

I’ve had a shitload of wine glass of Christmas baileys so am not getting the ladder, torch and tape measure out to check if my attic is indeed the largest lingerie dept in Ireland, and/or infested with priests.

But if it is I hope I have the best Fr/Grainne luck in 2025
