Has anyone else's teen gone off to Longitude in unsuitable clothing?

DD has gone in sports shorts, a t-shirt and a long-sleeve but not particularly warm top. She is meeting up with friends at a house nearby Marley park so at least they can all leave early if needed. She would not listen to advice to at least take a light waterproof jacket or full-length trousers. Hmm I guess she'll learn by experience (or die of pneumonia as DH said).

Going severely underdressed is part & parcel of the teenage festival-goer experience 🤣 I’d like to say that she’ll learn from her mistakes.. but she won’t! We live beside one of the big yearly music festival sites in Belfast, I feel cold just looking at most of the girls!

It will be much warmer in the middle of a crowd.

She'll survive. Teens don't feel the cold the way we do. She'll get into the middle of a crowd and be fine. There will be plenty there with even less on. You have to suffer to look good 😆

She assured me that the rain would stop by 3pm according to her weather app. I'm not that far from Marley as the crow flies, and I know that the weather in Ireland generally can be quite localised but I still think that if it's raining here it's probably raining there too.

She's having physio at the moment and really likes the young, male, chatty physio working with her. Until yesterday when he recommended that she wear a waterproof poncho to Longitude. The look on her face when she was telling me what he said. 😂

It's only clearing up in my part of Dublin now.

Did she get back safe @BlackAmericanoNoSugar ?

DD2 went to Taylor Swift last night. No complaint, thought it was great but the queue for the Dart home was so long she began to walk home alone.
Her friends went another route.
Suddenly there weren't any people around - it was a "safe" area - but she still got a bit nervous so she texted us and DH went to collect her.

She stayed overnight with a friend near Marley and went again today. DH has just gone down to pick her up from her friend's house. I expect her to sleep for hours and then subject me to a lot of detail about who said what to whom and who kissed whom and who is annoyed with whom tomorrow. 😁

My dd went yesterday. She got ready in her friends house so I didn’t see the attire til I collected her off the bus last night. Her and her friend were dressed almost identical. Tiny white tube skirts and bikini tops. She was showing me videos and most of the girls were wearing very little. Gone to Taylor Swift tonight. She has a great life!

I'm here at the end of Doja Cat's set. She will be in excellent company. Booty shorts and bikini tops are the order of the day. Cowboy boots or Miles and Converse for footwear. I saw several shivering teens yesterday in the rain. Ponchos everywhere too.

Here you go, Longitude at its finest.

DH is back, he couldn't get near the house. He's going to try again later.

She's back, DH has taken her out for MacDonalds. Apparently she's been eating nothing but custard creams for most of the day. 🙄
