Brother’s teenage/20s best friend

Is this the right place to find out about one of my DB’s friends who was born/grew up in London but then we think he moved back to Ireland as his parents had done in his late 20s/30?

The name is Ray (Raymond) Greaney. Only child. They lived in Crystal Palace, SE London for years before moving back probably when retired. Don’t know where the parents were from or what they did, dad used to be a beater for shoots (pheasants) and I think had a spaniel.

I heard they were going home to breed greyhounds, but might just be a rumour. Ray would be just under 50, birthday October/November. Parents I’m guessing would be 70s.

@GonnaGetGoingReturns would you be better off starting in Crystal Palace and trying to find out someone who knew them? You might be able to narrow it down to a county or at least a province then.
