Breast biopsy clinic Belfast City Hospital - please help

Tricky one here:

Has anyone recently attended the breast screening clinic at the City Hospital and had a biopsy done?

I am not at home at present, and won’t be for a few days - but a member of my family has called to tell me that two letters have arrived. One from the City, and one from my own GP.

Whilst I will probably get them to open the letters for me - has anyone had a similar experience? I am panicking a little bit.

I’m hoping they wouldn’t write to me with bad news, I thought I was to have a telephone call to discuss the results.

A family member had similar done at BCH recently and was phoned with results. Don't think anything sinister would be reported on via letter... wishing you good luck x

I'm just taking an hour to compose myself. If I was home I'd have ripped open the letters but this is very unexpected.

If it is bad news, whilst my first thoughts will be of concern for my children and my own well-being - I will be very upset that they have deviated from the agreed plan (that I was prepared for)
