If you're with Bord Gais how much was your winter bill?

Just interested to compare I'm with Bord Gais for gas only and my bill from 18th November to 23rd January was €214.23 and that's with me being careful!!!
I don't have the hearing on every day and when I do it's 1-3 hours maximum, the oven is electric so it's just the central heating! Three bedroom semi if that matters
Obviously this is a lot more than this time last year and I knew a bigger bill was expected!
Just interested to see if mine is dearer? than other people?

Just heard someone on the news say €850 for 2 months!

My Dad's was in the region of €770. That's for gas only. The bill before that was estimated and this one was based on a meter reading. He can afford to pay it but he was very upset and annoyed about it. I'm afraid he's going to keep the heating too low or switch it off a lot (and then get sick Sad), so as to avoid running up another high bill.

Mine was €639 Airtricity and then the €200 off. I have cut usage by 400 units. Don't know what else to cut

Wow thanks for replies some mad bills there!! it's madness how for those of us struggling we are all expected to pay these bills
My house was so cold this morning after no heating on for a few days I had to put central heating on for an hour and a half and I'm totting up how much it cost in my head 🥹

What really annoys me is that the wholesale cost of energy has gone way down yet that is not being passed on to the consumer but if the wholesale cost goes up then the cost is immediately passed on.
Surely the government should do something about that instead of the Taoiseach waffling on about the windfall tax on energy companies coming soon.

I have a prepayment card. Literally try not to think about it but € 50 seems to go nowhere now.
My meter makes that bleeping noise and I'm thinking ' wtf - already!'

My last Electric Ireland running estimate bill was way under as it was based on last year. My tv licence is due at the end of the month so I better pay it now as I'll be on holidays when it's due.

Situaciones · 06/03/2023 12:51

We just only have the heat on for an hour a day in the evening. I'm at home on sick leave but I just bundle up.

LadyEloise1 · 08/03/2023 13:19

Our gas for 2 months was €500
