NI how to lobby for parking permit in residential area?

Is it possible to do this? Basically the road where the house is has no driveways so residents park ideally outside their own homes but if no space then just anywhere on the road. Problem is that a new business has opened down the road and now all the employees are parking on the road and there is no space for some of the residents cars.

How would you go about lobbying for residents parking permits for this road or is this even possible?

Anybody? Theres a removal van outside the house the last three days and blocking light let alone the parking space outside the house. It is very very annoying.

Not NI, but England. We live across the road from 3 schools and school traffic was a problem. I was often blocked in on my driveway, unable to get to work etc.

I spoke to the local authority parking team. They told me what to do. I can't remember what it was, but it wasn't complicated.

So the local authority is the place to go. Brill thanks. There is a pub one end and a creche the other but it is getting to be a joke at this point.

Are you a NI resident living in NI or in the Republic? Either way, I'd imagine that you'd contact your council and take it from there. I doubt that it will be a quick process. These types of things rarely are.

Good luck with it!

Im actually looking into it for properties either end of the island! DP has a house in NI and this is the one I am talking about here but my father has similar down south so looking into that to. Absolute nightmare. Bloody truck still there this evening and no parking at all.
