Hopefully someone can help with this one, live in the North of Ireland ireland and heading to California for a ten day holiday at the end of September flying from Dublin. Anywhere I've looked about travel insurance they ask of im flying from and back to UK airport... obviously im not but i have no idea what to do - anyone any advice? Would really dread to go with no insurance given their medical bills if anything was to happen 😵

Not sure of the answer OP but did they specifically mention flying from the UK? I would have thought you’d be covered by having your trip start in the UK (at your home) and including Ireland as one of your destinations. But I don’t really know. Maybe if you put your question in Chat you might get responses from someone in the industry.

Usually travel insurance covers to and from your home.

I travelled to USA December 2021 and had this query but I phoned my insurance company (post office) and asked the specific question about leaving from NI and travelling from Dublin and was advised insurance would be valid. I’d just phone and confirm with your insurance.
