Just received an email to say from end of July, Bord Gais will no longer be accepting Tesco vouchers against the energy bill.
I have to say that using my Tesco vouchers against my Bord Gais bill REALLY helped us out. Especially with the increases.
I've stayed with both for 10 years because of this, made sure to only buy in Tesco, kept my electric bill with Bord Gais as the savings using the vouchers was fantastic.
The other boosts they have are not anything we would use so it would mean using the Tesco vouchers off my shopping and not getting them boosted. With Tesco's food increases recently I'm wondering if it's any point remaining with Tesco? I also pay them a delivery saver. Also now I'm wondering if wise to stay with Bord Gais? I've had cold callers telling me they are cheaper than Bord Gais but I never entertained them due to me being happy with the set up between the two companies.
I'm not even sure what energy companies are out there, I'll have to do some research. Maybe it's also time to depart from Tesco and shop elsewhere.
Any recommendations?
