Where can I buy a good sofa, preferably South Dublin so I can try it out?

The place that I bought my previous sofa has closed. I would like a comfortable and supportive sofa, preferably in a mid-century modern style with spindly wooden legs and not too much bulk in the sofa part. I needs to be really sturdy, REALLY sturdy. The DC wore out last sofa out, it has lasted just over 10 years but looks really knackered now.

Thanks.

Yes, definitely a bit far. It's a shame they don't have the shape that I like as they have a lot of variety in fabric choice.

I've found this one that I like the shape of, but it's always a bad sign when you have to call for a price and there isn't a huge range of colours. www.kennethhodgins.ie/fabric-upholstery/fabric-2-seater-sofas/ercol-forli-2-seater-sofas--no1957

I know someone who bought a sofa from finline furniture in the mid 1990s and its still in great condition. They make them in Emo in Laois. They have a website www.finlinefurniture.com and showroom on the Nass Road.
I know they also have a good selection of covers for what they sell.

Thanks Ilady, I've had a look and they have one or two that might work for us.

I was also going to recommend Finline. I’ve had three of their sofas and they are bombproof - my three sons have been pretty hard on them and they are still going strong after 10 years.
