Feeling hopeful that we might get a holiday this year ! We usually sail from Dublin and stay around Brittany, but weather can be hit and miss . Hoping to travel a bit further this year in hope of more sunshine . Any recommendations? 2 children , aged 8 and 6 . Tia

Years ago we went. The weather wasn't great. Go as far south as you can.
We stayed in a Pierre et Vacannes apartment resort.
DH was too precious to stay in a mobile and insisted we move out of the one we had with CampotelSmile

To be fair to him it wasn't great. A bit shabby.

5 years ago we took our own tent to www.interlude.fr/

The Isle de Rey is a fantastic place especially the focus on safe cycling. We hired bikes with child seats/trailer and explored all over the island

We loved the Vendee with smaller kids. Best fire we went to was 'Pin Parasol', it is on the eurocamp website but also does independent, great pool complex, next to lake, under 30min to coast. Lots of people also love La Garangoire if kids are small. If you want to be on the beach there are lots but we found the pitches really close together. Have fun!!

La Garangeoire is a fantastic site. I would highly recommend for those ages.

We're hopefully heading to LA garangeoire this summer (we were supposed to go the last two summers!) with another family that have been a few times and they rave about it.

We went to Le Littoral outside Sables d'Olonne a few times. Always found it brilliant. Impeccably clean, great pools and slides (indoor as well), daily kids club and entertainment (even in low season). There's direct access to a small cove and cycle paths all around the area. Les Sables is close by if you fancy more choice of restaurants.
We always went in early June and apart from a couple of cloudy/wet days the weather was great (much better than Brittany!).
