Name of primary school book in the 1980s / 90s?

This is a very long shot, but I wonder does anyone remember a series of books, either History or English text books from primary school in the 1980s / 1990s which had Irish folk tales in them. I seem to remember The Salmon of Knowledge in particular. My brother asked me earlier and now it's annoying me that I can't remember.
Also looking for the title of an English book from 5th class, narrow book, I seem to recall, which had a story called "Strawberry Jam" in it, about a mouse tasting freshly- made jam.

@LordFoofingtonismyMaster it's so annoying- the book is right there at the tip of my mind!
I do remember other stuff though - being "in charge" of the harmony line in "By the Rivers of Babylon" - Boney M -(and taking the responsibility seriously), the black stretchy material-covered board, with the cardboard sticky-on shapes that were used to teach Irish....

Was the Salmon of Knowledge one called Pathways in History? It was a square book. I’m almost certain it’s still in my dm’s house? I’ll dig it out when I can and post a picture.

I’d forgotten the sticky shapes Irish lessons! That’s just flickering at the edge of memory! I do remember standing around the sides of the classroom for the Irish projector slides and at the end of the week making up a dramaíocht.

Wow! That would be fabulous!

Sound Sense books?

@TheWitchCirce sorry, no, but @hiredandsqueak may be onto something. I've screenshot the inside of Sound Sense and sent it to DB to get his thoughts.
