We live in West Dublin, since school started we havnt left dc out to play with the other kids on the road as they're all in different schools etc... Dc are getting increasingly fed up, it looks like I'm the only one too who's not letting the dc mingle... Thinking of letting them out to play this evening...

Yes I am. Children under 12 dont need to socially distance. They had months and months with hardly any interaction with others except us. So yes, I am letting them out to play.

Yes.

YES. It is in their best interests to let them play with their friends

OK thank you, decision made! The last few evenings have been so nice I felt guilty keeping them in the garden

What is everyone letting their teens do? Mine is out and about with friends like the younger 2 but worried as he is around lots of different kids and no social distancing going on, despite my warnings! Confused

Solomon mine is really only with her boyfriend most evenings but otherwise shes seeing the same friends shes sitting with at school. So I dont really see the difference.

Yeah. Mine are all back at school, catching colds (so Covid safety precautions are clearly not effective within their school environment) so yep, they're out playing again. We complied with the rules strictly and took it even further during lockdown (avoided supermarkets completely, washed shopping etc,) but now there's no point. We'll comply with the rules but kids can play out now.

Mine is back with her friends. That said, her friends have brothers and sisters under 12 who are allowed to mix with my children of the same age, sitting in the same classes, playing out together. Little point trying to keep the big siblings apart from each other when their little siblings aren't and share bedrooms with them.
