Holiday in Ireland Carlow/Kilkenny area

Hello.
I am Irish but have not been home in a very long time. I was just wondering what fun stuff there is to do with the under 10s in the Carlow/ Kilkenny area this summer ( one child has sn and the other is a toddler. The middle child is not picky) as we are planning a short break.
The last time I visited( over 10 hrs ago) it was all hurling, hurling, hurling!!! I am hoping that has changed. Any ideas greatfully accepted. Thanks.

Kilkenny Castle is nice, the castle is interesting and the park and children's playground really lovely. It's all free for kids but adults pay for castle entry (not for the park). There's an open farm near Bennettsbridge, I've never been but I'd like to bring DS. I think they have crazy golf and a playground too. Castlecomer discovery park (depends on ages of kids, I think all under 10 might be a bit young). Reptile zoo - near Paulstown or Goresbridge somewhere I think. Karting near Ballyhale, not sure if there's a minimum age or if they have two-seated karts. Bowling in kilkenny city - might be a bit loud for little ones though.

There's a pitch and putt course in Kilkenny city too that you can just go to as non members. Woodstock Gardens at Inistigoe are popular. www.woodstock.ie

The Discovery Park in Castlecomer is great for all ages these days. They have added lots of things for younger children now too.
