Where to buy glasses in the Dublin area?

I have had the same pair of frames for 5 years and this morning the bridge snapped . I love them. They suit me really well, are really light and comfortable, are slightly funky but not enough to date quickly and did I say I love them? The brand is JK London but I can't seem to find anywhere in Dublin that carries them. So, any other spec wearers in the Dublin region, where do you get your beautiful glasses? I wear my glasses all day and since these lasted 5 years, I don't mind spending a bit to get the right ones.

(and please don't start telling me to get laser surgery or contacts, I won't be doing either!)

Rods and cones opticians. In castleknock lovely range or the optical shop in Blackrock- very different funky Scandinavian designs

I totally forgot about the Optical Shop, thanks. I'll be near Blackrock later in the week so I'll give them a call. And I'll check out Rods and Cones too.

I've managed to bodge my own glasses together. Dh is calling me Jack (Duckworth) Hmm

I know an optom who has his own practice in Stepaside. He is a nice guy and an exceptional Optom, I’ve no hesitation in recommending him.

Gilna opticians
I don't live in Ireland any more but they are fab and have some very fruity glasses
I think they have a branch in The IFSC

Dixon Hempenstall have a great range of glasses. The staff are lovely in there too.

While I’m at it, I’ve a few patients who had JK London frames which are now discontinued. One lady was very attached to her frame and not at all happy with a different style. We managed to find someone on eBay selling discontinued stock and she bought 5 pairs of her frame. If your frame has the code on it and you really want to keep it, it might be worth looking there (while remembering to have regular eye tests to check your eye health of course Grin ).

I didn't think to try Ebay, I'll have a look there now, thanks Little.

I got my first ever glasses a million years ago from Dixon Hempenstall! I didn't realise they were still going.

I'll check out all the suggestions. I'm in a slight panic about getting them replaced as though technically I don't need them for driving, I really don't like driving without them especially in the dark evenings so I'll check out all the suggestions. Thanks everyone.
