Wow 3 feet Maryzed. We only have about 6" but it's the most snow I've ever seen.

mineofuselessinformation · 02/03/2018 20:52

Theee snow days this week - and now it's snowing heavily again (the road to get out of my estate was already bad enough, but now what snow hasn't previously gone has turned to ice) 😞
It's not much fun anymore!

makeitso · 02/03/2018 20:57

It's due to rain in the morning. Rain will never be so welcome.

Completely snowed in here. I struggled to get the door open earlier.

dd is still trying to get to work. Originally train and bus to start at 8, now 12 (possibly). Luas seem to be changing the goalposts so probably not reliable at all.

She's called the Gardai, the Army and Civil Defence; none can get to her.

If she doesn't get to work tomorrow girls who have been there since Thursday morning have to carry on until she does. And if she gets there she will more than likely have to stay over until Monday/Tuesday.

There seems to be no emergency action plan Hmm

We've got off lightly in North Tipp, only about 15cm on the ground but conditions are still very difficult. Driving is impossible unless you have a four wheel drive. We've seen a few people out on skis today.

We have at least four feet, with higher in drifts. I've never seen anything like it. I can't see my car.

I was due to fly into Dublin on Wednesday and eventually made it home Saturday.

Flight from London took 50 mins then same again to clear the snow between runway and stand so we could disembark. Crazy!

I'm in the South East and we've still got snow.
