Flipping H has gone out tonight, forcing me to watch the Late Late Toy Show with the DC

That's his job, he knows I can't stand TLLTS. Angry I can only hope that the DC get as bored with it as I always am and push off to bed after 30 mins or so.

I don't get the hype. I have two DC abd have no intention of watching it

TimTamTerrier · 02/12/2016 22:20

50 minutes in and they're still watching. They're quite grumpy because they normally go to bed at 8.30 and 9pm. Hmm

I adore this and have lovely memories of watching it as a child. My kids are young and in bed but will watch it tomorrow. I'm such a softie and i love the kids singing and dancing - their parents must be so incredibly proud.

DD has gone upstairs to 'rest' in her bed and then she will go back down. I'm not expecting to see her until morning.

No hope I was keeping our kids up to watch it but we'll stick it in the player tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to it, dh's gorgeous niece will be on it

You grinch TimTam Wink
I watched it with dc, crisps and magnums, it was great fun. It's the only time I watch the late late all year, and to be fair to the much cricitised Ryan Tubridy, I think he does a great job with the toy show

TimTamTerrier · 03/12/2016 12:55

I'm not keen on Ryan, he's very nice to the kids though. I used to listen to his segment on what's in the newspapers in his morning radio show, but then he stopped doing that bit. His political acumen is really impressive, but clearly RTE feel that bland and patronising chit-chat is what the nation want from him.

I really liked the toy show this year. Dd who is 6 was completely enthralled, and so excited to see her cousin. Ds(4) was completely uninterested so was playing trains instead Grin. Tubs did a great job, he seems to actively enjoy it unlike the Plank. He seems to have the interest but not the gravitas for a proper political debate on a regular LLS. Maybe Blindboy Boatclub will be his successor Grin

I enjoyed the toy show and I love Ryan, think he's great with the children unlike Pat who seemed awkward with them or Gaybo who couldn't hide his dislike of children.
