I mean seriously what the hell is this? There's no way Great Aunt Mary would be wearing that to the stations.

I once sat behind Fiona Shaw and her chums in a cafe. She was lovely but an utter, utter luvvie taken to stereotypical lengths and then some.

Sure Cobh people always have notions. Grin

I'd be disappointed if I heard someone say 'Fiona Shaw? Quiet, taciturn, makes her own sangers and wraps them in Brennan's packaging.'

ManorMouse · 28/09/2016 09:45

True. Although, about 20 years ago now, a friend and myself spotted Fiona Shaw coming out of Easons. My friend had seen her in a play the week before and went over to say how much he enjoyed her performance. She was very gracious about it and thanked him for his praise.

The Dunnes in Stephens Green Shopping centre is unreal! It's not like Dunnes at all. Fierce fancy altogether.

My local Dunnes hasn't changed in 40+ years - it doesn't sell any of the "designer" ranges and it's completely cluttered and messy. There are always shoes all over the ground in the shoe "section" - I nearly snotted myself on a pair of paw patrol wellies the other day.

Their shoe section let them down.
Mind you I have never seen so many awful plastic shoes in Dunnes, Debenhams, M&S etc.
You used to be able to get good quality leather shoes/ bags at a reasonable price.
Now there is so much cheap plastic tat from China, Vietnam and other places in the Far East.
