Ok so I realise it's July, honestly I do but as I am due number 2 in Jan I reckon I will be too wrecked fur shopping in Nov/Dec. So need to start slowly (and spread the cost) the Christmas bargains thread is fab but so much of it is not possible for Ireland so I purpose a mini version of Irish deals here. So slow and steady as she goes :)

To start I bought my DD the baby born washbasin test in Smyths. It's 21 pounds on Amazon and was 10 euro in Smyths!

I'm in! Got a huge pack of jigsaws reduced to half price €7.50 in Argos as a result of beady eyed bargains

lilacclery · 04/09/2016 10:14

Mapmymum would you consider a kindle fire?

MelanieWiggles · 04/09/2016 20:10

On the Lego calendars - keep an eye on Argos. They have run 3-for-2 deals on them around October time for the last few years. Of course if you only need one that might not be quite such a good deal Smile

Mine is too old for Smyths Sad

The older they get, the more expensive it gets!!

I have no clue what to buy her this year!

AmyAmoeba · 06/09/2016 12:15

Smyths have €10 off €50 in their baby dept(SP10), if that's any use to anyone and mothercare have 50% on some toys.

Lokis how old are yours? I'm dreading my two outgrowing the toy phase. The older cousins are a nightmare to shop for!

qazxc · 07/09/2016 17:13

Lurking.
DD is in the paw patrol phase. I think Penneys had a,few bits and bobs for stocking fillers last year ( toothbrush, socks,...).

AmyAmoeba · 08/09/2016 06:59

Does anyone know whether Hamleys are likely to have a sale before Christmas and how generous the discounts might be? I'm eyeing up a box of snazzy stickers but at €27 they're a bit too steep.
The kids are fascinated with the hamlets brand art and craft stuff but I don't know if they reduce it at all.

lilacclery · 08/09/2016 08:17

qazxc they definitely have paw patrol toothpaste as mine got it a few weeks ago, it's purple and probably blue raspberry flavour and they hate it Grin
I've a code for littlewoods €15 off a €50 spend going to use it on a tractor/go cart for ds. Not sure if it's specific to my account or not. KMFJY

Paw patrol is very popular so hopefully you'll find some nice little bits. Dunnes have pjs and a pink duvet (€25) and penny's have a more boyish duvet set. Not exactly bargainous but cute.

Tiger is good for tween/teens small stuff. It's kind of funky, cheap and unusual without being too childish. I know that there's one in swords shopping centre and another one in the blanchardstown one.
Also in blanch is a shop next to dunnes called sosterne grene that's good for bits and bobs for home, I could easily buy that entire shop.

AmyAmoeba · 12/09/2016 13:11

I second Tiger for teens, and they change their stock over quite often so you could get a good bit between now and Christmas.
The €2store had disco balls (15), water glitter lights (12),plasma balls (20) lava lamp (15), all good value compared with the Gadget Shop, and also adult colouring books for €1.50, and emoji cushions for €5. Might be useful for tweens/teens

For younger kids tesco do the where's my cupcake orchard game for €6.99 instead of €9.99 everywhere else

Deals had paw patrol jigsaws, and some books

I'm looking for penguin themed anything and any good deals on shopping.

AmyAmoeba · 12/09/2016 15:24

Shopping = shopkins

AmyAmoeba · 14/09/2016 11:12

Wooden beer crates, so beloved of mumsnetters on the main bargain thread are available in Dealz for €1.50.

Dealz = Poundland in UK

Anyone spotted any Christmas wrapping paper anywhere?

Therealloislane · 18/12/2016 10:03

Amy - Claire's Accessories had shopkins on three for two last week, so have a wee look there.

Also Asda had fab penguin cups & glasses last Sunday when I was in. (Am in the North though)
