Anyone else melting at their desk currently?

Had a major wardrobe crisis this morning as had no nude tights and legs can't go out unadorned. Couldn't face black tights for obvious reasons and I normally wear dresses for work as its just easier. Took me ages to out decent trousers and a top. Sitting here absolutely melting - need a fan emoticon

I'm in west Yorkshire and was absolutely melting with the heat do rather than take the kids to a park to run off energy I've come to soft play. I'm currently sitting in a lovely, cool, air-conditioned building with my dc running around an almost empty soft play area. It's bliss. Going to go home and have ice-cream later on.

It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL here...the sun is out, blue sky, I'm on my laptop at the picnic table, under an umbrella, on the deck. A cool breeze is wafting through my (Penneys) palazzos.
Kids are at camp (way-hay!)
I doubt it gets better than this.

Cmere have you not been introduced to the wonders of SallyHansen?

I only work until lunch on a Tuesday so I'm in the garden. It's fecking roasting! I'm in NE England (but Irish born and reared) and people here will spontaneously combust in this heat. Were not used to sun up here

petitpois55 · 19/07/2016 13:48

About 30 degrees here. It's lovely. Where i'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks is up to around 35 every day, so i'm thinking of it as some pre holiday hot weather trainingSmile

vvviola · 19/07/2016 13:48

I just had to walk across town to get to a meeting. I'm not sure if I'm in any for state to show my face in public now, let alone be professional at a meeting. Am standing in a shop directly under the aircon vent to try to cool down a bit before I go in!

Teddy1970 · 19/07/2016 13:49

It's 31 here in the South...I'm melting.

Caught on the hop with this lovely weather and had nothing on hand. I'm not great with fake tan in general though and as the rest of me is as pale as milk I'm not sure if I'd get away with slapping something on my legs and not on the rest of me. Although it'd be the same as wearing tights I suppose....

27 here in the south east, it's blissful sitting out in the garden, currently a sahm so I live for days like this

CmereTilliTellYa · 19/07/2016 13:52

I have to walk across town soon for a meeting at three, when the heat is supposed to be at its peak. I may melt into a little puddle on O'Connell bridge at this rate.

CmereTilliTellYa · 19/07/2016 14:00

It was meant to be called The Hot Press but we're not bitter Grin

BiddyPop · 19/07/2016 14:43

No - we're Guinness!!

Glamorousglitter · 19/07/2016 15:24

I had to change, I sweated
Through my clothes
, the baby is zonked with the heat. The lads are still out playing football and I keep chasing them, like a proper Irish mammy, with sun cream, hats, water, mi wadi, ice cream. They ignored me. So I hosed then with water guns and a huge water fight ensurd. Feck the water charges, I m feeling flippant in this heat !

hollyisalovelyname · 19/07/2016 15:26

Craicnet / The Hot Press

TheOnlyPink · 19/07/2016 15:51

26 degrees in east cork. Kids refusing point blank to go out, and I'm a summer hater, so suits me! Went out for a walk with them early this morning, it was 21degrees at half 8.

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 19/07/2016 15:59

freetrampolineforall

i work from home as well and only for the kids being here, I would be in the nip in a second, its so hot.

CmereTilliTellYa · 19/07/2016 18:02

Currently on a bus. Might actually pass out it is so hot.

Don't whinge about the heat. It'll be raining soon enough!!!
Smile

FarelyKnuts · 19/07/2016 21:26

I'm melted. Seriously. I was running a summer camp today. I wanted to lie down and cry in the park. But noooo "push me, watch me, he hit me, it's my turn" and repeat!

vvviola · 19/07/2016 21:38

Oh god FarelyKnuts Flowers and Wine for you. I can barely handle mine when they are hot-weather-cranky (and after a few years in NZ they handle it better than most). I couldn't even get my head around handling more than that!

FarelyKnuts · 19/07/2016 21:42

Vvviola, the parents look so delighted dropping them off at the door, they nearly sprint out the gate Grin

SecretNutellaFix · 19/07/2016 21:48

It got up to 32 here in South Wales today.
