So we've been given Craicnet!

Should we ask to change to the Hot Press or just roll with this?

Anyway- we have our own spot! SmileBrewCake

I thought he was another holy child!

Grin

But isn't Jesus the only holy child? He's got a monopoly on that!

TKRedLemonade · 23/07/2016 00:40

....things I never thought of squoosh.... Maybe he could have been Jesus's Czech pen pal :)

squoosh · 23/07/2016 00:45

Jesus' pen pal with a much fancier outfit and much more impressive bling. The real Jesus was sadly lacking in the bling department. And I'm not body shaming him but the Infant of Prague is a bit of a chubby fella isn't he? Prague Jesus was clearly having a much better time than Jerusalem Jesus.

CoolioAndTheGang · 25/07/2016 00:19

You can still get Burger Bites??!! head explodes

I was a wuss on SC blue, walking home from Saturday night mass, to keep our hands warm. Most in the group were SC purple or (what was the plain blue box? Not carrolls, they were red and white - B&H maybe?) smokers. My DSis ratted me out to DM when she got annoyed with me 1 time - to which DM retorted that "of course she knew!" (apparently, they'd fallen out of my coat pocket one night when it fell off the door as DM did her nightly bedtime check on us all, she just hung up the jacket and put them back in the pocket!). The same DSis is still a heavy smoker, while I am off them years now (she's younger so hadn't yet started then).

Thanks Squoosh!!

MaisieDotes · 25/07/2016 13:19

biddy I had a packet of burger bites the other day, my first in, oooh, must be around 20 years.

I was getting crisps for DS and I saw them and grabbed a bag. I opened them on the way home thinking "im sure these'll be horrible, I'll just have one or two" but ended up managing to cram the entire contents of the bag into my mouth in 0.27 seconds, all while pushing a double buggy. Personal best Grin

FayKorgasm · 31/07/2016 07:02

Ah here was it only us that call Mikado Mickeydoos? Or as my dbro says Fanny biscuits.

xexxsy · 02/09/2016 14:41

Great thread.

Anyone know the origin of the Irish using the word "Press" instead of cupboard?

Hmm Hot Press, kitchen presses. lol.

squoosh · 04/09/2016 00:24

As far as I know 'press' comes from the Irish word 'prios'. In Scotland a press specifically refers to a shallow cupboard with shelves behind a door which looks like a door into another room. It was usually used to store linens.

squoosh · 04/09/2016 00:27

A bit like this

Squoosh

Thanks for the explanation of "press".

That door in the pic to a "prios" looks delightful.
