With an amby what did you use as a matress protector?

So I've bought my amby nature nest. However, because they don't come with a waterproof cover (like moses basket ones do) I was wondering what people did to make sure little leaks didn't ruin the foam matress. I would have thought Amby would at least make a waterproof cover, but I can't find one.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I got some mattress protectors from IKEA and they are much smaller than a standard single mattress, basically rectangles that just cover the danger area.

They would fold over/wrap around the mattress although I did buy them a long time ago.

Thanks billy, I have seen those. Will have to go check them out.

I just put a doubled-up terry nappy under the Amby quilted cover. I'm sure some leaks got through but not much. I wouldn't reuse the mattress for DC2 though, I'll get a new one.

Having revisited the IKEA website it says that the mattress protectors I mentioned are not breathable and not to use them under a baby's head.

Hoping you get this message before buying them as it seesm they are not suitable.

Oooh, thanks for that Billy. I haven't got one yet. I am at a bit off a loss though. Betty's suggestion of using a terry might work ok and just keep fingers crossed that there are no major leaks.

My moses basket didn't come with a waterproof cover - never occured to me! Woops!
Anyway, with both moses basket and Amby I just washed the mattress in the washing machine - easy.
