Tutti Bambini Cozee Air - baby’s face against side

Our eight week old baby sleeps in the Tutti Bambini Cozee Air. I have noticed when they wake they will still be on their back but have their face pressed into the side of the cot. It’s not mesh but seems relatively breathable.

Does anyone have this cot and / or experienced this? He seems fine and as DH says he’d probably just comfortable, but the alternative doesn’t bear thinking about.

Not the air but have the cozee. From very early on baby would shuffle over to the side closest to me with face smushed right up against the mesh - used to drive me spare! I put the side up, and turned it round in case it was 'uneven' (no idea why I convinced myself this), and again baby was smushed right up against side closest to me.

I can't really help otherwise - baby slept max 20-30 min in it at a time (not cot problem, turned out to be CMPA) and just wanted to be on me for comfort so we coslept.

Thanks very much! I’ll keep an eye on things. The thread is super helpful too.

I have a feeling this is a common thing that babies do, mine did it and I literally stayed awake all night moving her little face away from the side of the cot for nights on end! I ended up getting a monitor that goes on her foot that measures heart rate and oxygen levels (for general peace of mind, not because of the face squashing) and I noted that her levels were still 100% when her face was right up to the side!
