My DS needs a new bed. I have found the one above which is more or less affordable. In other shops, e.g. Next there are really nice boys' beds but we cannot afford them. I wonder whether I would need to buy a rail (a safety rail). He is moving many times when sleeping. What do you think of this bed? Have you seen something similar somewhere else at a similar price?
Thank you!

Tbh i wouldn't buy from argos, not furniture anyway. I have had so much stuff from there that fell apart.

I can believe you actually. How about Tesco? www.tesco.com/direct/fresno-cabin-bed-frame-beech-effect/207-3676.prd?skuId=207-3676&pageLevel=

I have no experience with Tesco furniture. As for Argos, the comments were good.

I have found a simple pine bed frame from John Lewis. www.johnlewis.com/230943989/Product.aspx
Although I like the design from Argos I am not sure how long that bed is going to last. John Lewis bed is simple but made of solid pine but I do not know how sturdy it is.

my dd is in a cabin bed from argos and it is still in perfect condition - she has been in it for several years. I have no experience of tesco or john lewis furniture

Seona, how old is your dd? My DS does not want this bed anymore. We will buy bed from John Lewis and if that is not good (not sturdy) then we will go for the one which is from Argos.

dd is 8½ years old and has had the bed since she was about 4 years. We got her a decent mattress to go with it.

Thanks Seona. Sounds really good. We will see what my DS thinks of John Lewis bed when it arrives. He wanted a simple bed with no drawers but my DH and I wanted with drawers. It looks cute.
