Cots and beds

This topic is for discussing cots and beds. We've spent weeks researching and testing newborn beds in real homes with real families.

Anyone seen a Bednest in the flesh?

What I'm trying to work out is where the side of the crib goes when it is down, or half down. I think it just lies on the bed - doesn't sound very comfortable for me to sleep on!
Anyone seen it in action?

I've got a Bednest and the side can be folded in half so only protrudes onto the mattress by a couple of inches. You'd have to be sleeping right on the edge of the bed for it to touch you. I love the Bednest, my daughter is five months and still in it.

Or you can put it all the way down, down the side of your mattress.

Before you secure the thing to the bed obviously.

Thank you both, that's very useful. Think I'm going to take the plunge!
