Hello - wonder if any experienced mums could help me? I've been given a stoke mini cot by my SIL which is lovely and was going to buy a mattress for it from babymattressesonline.co.uk as they do the right ones to fit it but am completely baffled by all the choices of cover.

should i get a pvc cover one (can't help thinking even with a cover on it it might be a bit sweaty for a baby? but maybe its to stop it getting soaked with everything? and do they all have pvc covers?

so confused...

pvc?
lavender cover?
airholes?

be SO grateful if someone could advise what I actually need to get to make the baby comfortable and safe.

Thanks so much.

I'm actually also quite interested in this. With so many stories of cot death, I would like a good mattrass, but what is good on this matter (I believe PVC is bad because it does not breathe, and air holes may pick up dirt which may not be healthy, but I may be talking bollocks...). Does anyone have any experiences with this?
