ikea bunk beds. any good? what are the alternatives.

Yes, the cheapest is what puts me off tbh. I have never tried them but I will say I have never heard a bad word about Ikea. Sorry I cant help but somebody on here must have an ikea bed. x

too bloody high

absolute nightmare for making up and the children can barely sit up in bed

also the metal ones shake and shudder

drove to ikea (2 hours) today, they didn't have any made up.
they said i could look at them on their computer Hmm
fark off.

I have just bought some from here. They are solid. Come in bits despite the 'semi-assembled' claim. But are cheap and look pretty good.

I think best place is to check various ones on ebay

I would say the best are Stompa - very sturdy, but again height may be an issue.
