Toddler bed mattress - can I use cot mattress or can you recommend a toddler mattress

DS has a foam sprung cot mattress in his cot, but I was wondering whether he can use this in a toddler bed which is the same size or whether I need a 'proper' mattress - I'm bewildered by the choice! Can anyone recommend theirs?

I would think you would be fine with cot bed mattress. Did that for dd until time for proper big bed and no point buying proper mattress until single bed time, IMO. Won't be long until you need to do that anyway, cliche, but it does go so fast
