what kind of mattress for a 6 year old? Foam vs springs?

Man in the shop is trying to sell us a foam one, saying it will last til she is a teenager. It feels great to me but I wonder if it is too firm for a child.

Having trouble finding any info online about this. Foam vs springs? Her current mattress is second hand and not very good, too soft and worn out.

I vote foam, because in case of little accidents its so much easier to dry out!
