new bank account needed urgently

Help I am about to go through bankruptcy and have been advised to get a new bank account asap. have applied for Co-operative basic one but have not yet heard back does anyone have any other ideas please of which bank accounts to open? Thank you

I was going to suggest co-op basic account which I applied for on the phone and I think was told about straight away. I think most banks do basic accounts - can you go to an actual bank to apply for one there?

I think that the post office do a basic account.

Go to moneysavingexpert.com, they have a list of basic bank accounts in their bankruptcy section.

How long ago did you apply for your co -op account? They advise it will take up to 4 weeks.
