Have just bought a practically new red cashmere coat originally from Coast for £5!

Plus twenty childrens books for £1.50 but not quite as excited by that.

a beautiful solid silver necklace with cubic zirconia in a droplet. £4.50

badietbuddy · 19/01/2010 18:54

Sooooo much. I practically live in them. Probably my best was an amazing green Monsoon bag for a pound

ConnorTraceptive · 19/01/2010 18:58

God, LOADS!!! Brand new Diesel jeans for a fiver, French Connection dress for £3.00. Every "branded" item I own is from a charity shop.

NinthWave · 19/01/2010 19:01

Today I found three Bob the Builder vehicles for $4 altogether - my 2yo is absolutely thrilled!

Found a gorgeous dusky pink pleated Reiss skirt a few months ago for £4.50.

I live in a town with a high proportion of charity shops and well-off people - a winning combination

Loads of bits and bobs, but my sister bought a vintage shawl from one for a fiver and sold it for £200. She immediately donated some to the charity as she felt so guilty!

It's always nice to get a good novel for about 75 pence! Much cheaper than buying a book in the store, and the other week I bought my 4 year old a Noddy soft toy which although he needed washing he came up a treat in the machine - only £3 - he is smashing!

I also bought two lovely silver plates at £2.99 each they look dead posh.

littlerach · 07/02/2010 14:05

Best one was Cath Kidston raincoat foe dd2 that was £1.50.

But ti didn't fit her!

Black Zara shirt for me £2, black and white Gap Vintage top for dd1 £1.

Plus gazillions of books for all of us.

senua · 07/02/2010 14:14

Ooh, I had a good one the other day. A jacket from M&S: a flattering cut, in navy linen. It was lovely apart from the hideous buttons which cheapened it. However, a few rummages in the sale-rail found a nasty shirt with exactly the buttons I needed (and the exact number too!) for £1.00.

cherrymonster · 09/02/2010 13:42

littlerach- what size is the raincoat? i am desperate for one for dd1 who is nearly five, but she needs a 6-7 or 7-8. i would gladly buy it off you if you dont need it and if its the right size

orienteerer · 09/02/2010 13:43

Beautiful 18 piece gilt edged tea set (not a known brand) ideal for the champagne high tea party I'm organising for summer £4.

My best bargain of all time was a hand made solid wood rocking horse for £8 from a car boot sale. I took him back to the original (local) maker who re-furbished him for £25. New they're a couple of hundred quid.
