I use about half a dozen small envelopes a week

They aren't tremendously cheap - but not by any standards expensive

So to 'save' money he is cutting up scrap paper and making envelopes

I am speechless

I use all those "reply" envelopes that you get with stuff like credit car bill, catalogues, charity appeals etc tend to send them into school with all the various bits of money they want!

oooh that's embarrassing!! there are limits, and he's crossed a line there!

Is he going to knit himself a suit next? a la tom from the good life?

TrillianSlasher · 31/10/2009 19:47

Is he cutting straight?

bigchris · 31/10/2009 19:50

lol
suggest he cuts out beer instead?

Katymac · 31/10/2009 20:04

His cutting is straight

He suggested making glue out of flour & water but I handed him a pritt stick

He doesn't drink (at all)

Good idea Cargirl - I may borrow

I think he is feeling guilty as he bought new shoes (I didn't tell him I bought myself 2 pair)

DH reuses window envelopes and put stickers over the window/postage franking. I admit I really dont bother to do that... I was a bit suprised when I saw him but left him to it... whatever makes him happy. I have also known him to make his own envelopes!
