Put brand new clothes on vinted or donate?

Hope this is the right topic as I wasn’t too sure what this would go under. I have a 2 year old and I have stacks and stacks of clothes most being brand new or worn once and whilst I used to have the time and energy to list them on vinted they’ve been building up as I work 4 days a week.

i probably could use the extra money however I’m wondering whether I’ll ever find the time or energy to stick them on vinted. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep on top of it (as it can also be hard work finding the time to pack them and get to the shops to post with a toddler in tow) or shall I cut my losses and donate?

I normally stick on vinted for 2 weeks then charity shop if not sold

DD has bought some bundles on Vinted recently. Would that be easier? It would be nice to get a little money if that would be helpful.

I would prioritise any decent branded stuff as that usually goes more reliably. Also anything new with tags. Get packing stuff (envelopes/packets etc) stocked up at home so that bit is easy to do when things sell. Look at the most convenient mailing options for you and opt out of the others - I won't do Royal Mail as the Post Office queues are so long!

Maybe just set a goal of listing 3-4 things an evening and as a pp said, if they haven't sold within a set time, then remove and donate.

I would do bundles

Royal Mail have lockers too. Usually in tandem with Evri lockers. you can also use the red post boxes@TwitchyNibbles

Definitely bundles unless anything is known, expensive brands.

If you're not a widowed single parent could DCs father either deal with selling the clothing (adds selling of outgrown clothing to the ever growing list of mental load tasks that clutter up women/mothers' minds but most men/fathers manage to free themselves of) or be in sole charge of DC while you do it?

Or do you have a willing teen niece/nephew or similar who will list the clothing for a 50/50 share of the income?

Definitely Vinted.

Sadly not at our local post office, or anywhere useful for me as I don't drive🙁It very much depends what's available in your area

There are people near where I live that do this for extra income. They take your bags of clothes and then take nice pictures of them, like on mannequins or hung up nicely with good lighting, upload and post it all for you when it sells and then take a percentage of the costs. If you’re gonna charity shop them anyway, even 50% of the money is better than nothing. I wonder if there is anyone nearby who can do it for you. You could ask on local fb groups maybe

What you can post clothes through the red letter boxes? I thought you have to go post office and pay postage?

Ours now have some special parcel postboxes near me.

There has been one in the middle of town for ages but I noticed they've added a special front to the one near the post office near me the other day, like the postbox in the third picture down the page.

Edit: posted too soon. I think you have to buy the postage online and print it off?

I sell on Vinted. Unless it’s next. Next will refund me anything I brought from last year as well.
