Does anyone find any regular household products cheaper on Amazon , if so what ones ?

depends on what you are buying but I find Savers and home bargains/b&m all are cheaper then supermarkets for branded goods

But again, how many products and what are you buying comes into play. I buy very little, a surface cleaner, floor cleaner, bleach, vinegar and washing and dishwashing detergent and the odd plug in for the lobby , I wouldn't spend more then £10 a month for a 5 bedroom house

No. Usually our B&m bargains or aldi is cheaper, or the old poundshop.

I find Amazon most expensive.

B&M is good for everyday stuff like surface cleaner & bleach. Less common items like bees wax polish for wood is cheaper at our old fashioned hardware store than via Amazon, and has the advantage of being immediate.

Yes, but in Australia our major supermarkets (SM) are a duopoly and charge through the nose. Recent examples of identical products:

• hairspray - SM sale price $12 down from $16. Amazon $8
• laundry detergent SM around $32 for 2L, Amazon $35 for 4.2L
• dishwasher pods - SM 70 pack $68, Amazon 90 pack $35

I always do a check between SM, Amazon and a chain hardware garden store (Bunnings) for cheapest price and it's never the SMs. Due to mobility issues, I tend to use Amazon as that arrives same or next day and Bunnings is huge, so a long walk to get, in particular, laundry etc supplies

I find Tiktok shop cheaper than Amazon.

I spend so little on "household products" it hasn't really occurred to me to bargain hunt for them. I am faithful to Lidl Formil washing powder and their loo rolls. I use Ecover kitchen cleaner which I refil time and again from the eco/refil shop. Everything else is unbranded or on offer and we don't seem to get through much of it! I buy from Amazon as a last resort on principle.

Washing tabs and dishwasher tablets can be good - I usually buy in bulk when on offer (like 6 months worth at a time)

washing powder is cheaper for brands than the supermarkets imo. Otherwise Aldi/Lidl own brands for eg dishwashing tablets is still better value.

Yes washing tablets, fabric conditioner and toilet roll tend to be particularly good value when on offer.

Absolutely. Olive oil £5 cheaper last month per litre, Sendodyne toothpaste £2 cheaper per tube. Just 2 examples.

Yes. I regularly buy kitchen roll, vanish. washing powder and kitchen sponges. I periodically check the prices and so far they come out cheaper. I also do subscribe and save which takes a small % off too.

I buy Tesco’s cleaner and bleach and find it cheaper. I bought a large bag of loo rolls off Amazon but they were rubbish, and I went back the big rolls from Tesco.

I think dw tablets are cheaper for massive boxes of like 110

Some stuff for us is cheaper as we do the subscribe and save and get 15% discount.

We get my daughters oat milk for £1.25-1.80 a litre. In the shop it is £2.20 a litre and if no offer doesn't usually drop much below £1.70.

My daughters conditioner is £6 in Sainsbury's, different variety in BM for £3.79, we pay £2.55 through Amazon.

Her leave in conditioner is £3-6 in high street again £2.55 on Amazon - she has curly hair so we use a lot of conditioner.

Toothpaste is £6-6.50 full price £3.50-£4 if on offer in supermarkets. Through Amazon it's £3.36

These are all items where we want a specific product, for a particular reason and need regularly. Other things where we can pick whichever brand or variant is on offer we buy in store. Especially where there is an option for an own brand option as these usually are cheaper than the branded version on Amazon through subscribe and save.

Not always cheaper, but as I live rural, more convenient. I literally buy almost everything on Amazon, one of the best customers I think. Can’t beat it for convenience.

Yes, I cross refer with Sainsburys and Amazon always wins. I do S&s as well, so it’s even better value.
I’ve had to do this, due to col. I’ve now stopped getting Sainsburys deliveries, not renewed my delivery pass. Using Amazon more and more.
