Im hurt and disappointed my daughters dad has decided to take this approach of paying little as possible for his daughter, he’s been paying through the CSA for the last 4 years but our yearly review has come through and he’s sent his accounts in showing he earns the minimum wage. I don’t know understand knowing he works full time why he wouldn’t want to pay for his child but I know he works full time driving! I can imagine it’s because I’ve got with a new partner and started living with them. This was probably made public by March 2025 since then he’s gone cash in hand to prove he earning little… my argument is he works as HGV driver so his tachometer card must show his working hours…

Better off not needing his financial support then.

You can ask the CM to refer to their fraud department. But it's a lengthy process but the only way.

That is obviously very good evidence but for reasons I've never understood, the Child Maintenance Service has never done anything to get funds from self employed people. They seem only able to cope with PAYE. It's utterly bizzare that in this day and age they can't make a self employed person pay.

You can ask them to investigate the fraud

Or

you could name and shame him and company of Facebook/SM! Often prompts more of an action.

My one did this and left jobs etc... he even moonlighted and didn't tell them and was taken to court for fraud by them... And guess what? He just kept doing it so long they wrote off his debt to his children totalling 19k and I had no redress at all... If they are determined to cheat there's fuck all.abyone can do about it. My girls are adults now and he hasn't seen them for almost 20 years.

Why shouldn't he be expected to support his own child?

You can ask the fraud team to look into this. You have to complain multiple times to cms before they'll refer it to FIU.

Then they decide whether to investigate. The whole process can takes years, especially if he appeals their findings and takes it to a tribunal.
