My usual white coffee whilst out in town was £1.29 now today it was £1.49 an increase of 15.5%

Has your usual coffee place increased prices?
I wonder if salaries will go up 15.5% … doubt it.

Flask from home,, wonder if anyone makes one which has separate sections so the milk does not mix until poured out.

I treated myself to a pistachio latte in Starbucks it was £6.15 for a small one no cream or extras.

I always make coffee fully with milk
for a flask. Stays pretty good.

Im not being a snob, but seriously , £1.49 or whatever , you are not getting decent coffee, that's a Mc D or Greggs quality - drinkable

I pay £16 for 500g of beans from a local award winning roaster . It lasts me a month as I enjoy a coffee in peace and quiet and its my come home from work after walking the dog, wind down ( I finish work at 10am so I have this mid morning ) treat and me time

It's very hard to find a decent coffee. I meet a friend once a week and where we go they use the same roaster I use, and are ok for extra shot and extra hot - at £4.50

I gave up on coffee out ( other then a one a week catch up ) years back. I bought a decent coffee machine and make to my taste and t=really enjoy

With national insurance and minimum wage increases in the last year, you can bet that the overheads in a cafe have increased by 15%.

Try running a small business….

sadly costs have to go up thanks to the government increasing taxes, minimum wage, landlords putting g rent up. Utility bills increasing etc…

Australia is not cheap, but the abundance of quality coffee shops and competition means my strong flat white has gone from $5 to $6 (3 pounds) in the past 4ish years...very manageable and still worth it at that price point.

My partner is currently back in London for the first time in 6 years and is absolutely floored at the cost increases since pre-covid. He paid 14 pounds for a fry up breakfast the other day!

Pret used to sell a filter coffee for 99p, I don't know if they still do, or what it costs now.
