Using NHS healthy start card

So we've got a healthy start card and we dont tend to use it much mostly because I forget it exists but we're struggling for money this month so it would be really useful to buy for u with it. The only problem I have is I can't buy baby's formula in any shops near me (it's kendamil goat) so I have to order online. Is there anyway to use the healthy start card to order online or does anyone know if I could buy a gift card or something with it?

You can use it for anything at all. Tried and tested. Gov website states in can be used for toiletries etc.

No it states milk fruit and vegetable and tinned fruit/veg/pulses. I have a relative who has never seen one be used for alcohols etc. although you can tap it and buy other food items you aren’t meant to. I really assume they must be able to check somehow ?

I work in a corner shop. Have many people use them for tobacco, vapes, alcohol, no it’s not the intended use but yes it does happen. Often times people don’t show us the card they are using they just tap it and go. Investigating what people are using these exactly for would be very costly, as a country failing to support its citizens already I hardly think this is the area they will spend funding on. I think it’s best to only comment on things you know for certain as your relatives friend having one or whatever it was you said doesnt make you or them an expert on how this thing works so it’s not very helpful of you to spread information that you don’t actually know about.

You are spreading misinformation stating that the gov website says you can use it for toiletries!!! It doesn’t say that it says milk, formula, fresh fruit and veg or frozen or canned fruit and veg.

It’s very clear here what you can use it for

Nope
Can only use on fresh milk, fruit or veg. Won’t work for anything else

You can’t get anything on it, I get my babies whole food shop with it!
