Anyone feeling put off from doing things because of rip off prices now? I cant seem to get used to them. I have a family of 5 now and that combined with cost of living means that if i wanted to go on holiday in the uk, im looking at £200-£300 per night. A week abroad 5k. A ten year old car with 3 full seats for car seats 5k. A takeaway £30. A meal out £70. Hardly seems worth it!

Urgh, I'm with you. It's train fares that I cannot get my head around.

I agree. The thing is that the taxpayer is still massively subsidising railways (£21 BILLION for 2023), yet the fares are sill ridiculously expensive and the trains are unreliable and unpleasant and cancelled too often. Not to mention outdated poor services on Sundays and routes that finish ridiculously early at night so no use for getting home after nights out etc. Even some Manchester airport routes can't get you there for the morning peak and finish before the last planes arrive at night! From my closest city, the earliest train I can get to London on a Sunday morning arrives at Euston at 13:25 and it's only a 2 hour journey! The latest back is around 4pm leaving Euston - just what's the point? On normal days I can be there for 8am and can leave as late as 9pm! Sunday is becoming a busy day on the trains yet the run them like it's decades ago when people stayed home or went to church on Sundays. It needs a massive shake up!

2 month supply for vitamins has gone from £6 to £10 in 3-4 months. Have just paused the delivery.

I've swapped to Pregnacare. Not pregnant, it's just cheap! It's currently £3.60 on S&S, plus there is a 3 for 2 offer. So you get 90 tablets for £6.80.
