Energy price fix deals

According to Martin Lewis its a good time to fix your energy for 12 months. I looked at Uswitch and am considering fixing for 14 months with British Gas, currently with Scottish Power. If I've read it correctly its 2% increase but as its fixed will be cheaper over the year.

Anyone found any better deals or also considering fixing?

I read the Octopus fixed deal was good but you have to have a smart meter, or be willing to get one, to get the deal.

I switched to Outfox the Market a couple of weeks ago. Seemed like the best deal available then.
