Carers allowance after maternity allowance…
I was previously on carers allowance which had to be paused for mat allowance, my mat allowance came to an end 8/6/24. I’ve called them around 3 times and they’ve said that it’s waiting to be looked at and that I’ll get a back payment.
Has anyone else had this scenario and can tell me how long they had to wait until they sorted it all out?
Luckily I’m not relying on this to put food on the table but it does help with the bills so would obviously like it paid ASAP - I can only imagine the families that do need it every single week.
They’ve said they just don’t know when it’ll be sorted, frustrating as they knew when the maternity was coming to an end and the system seems very backwards to me 🤷🏼♀️
