I have just payed £8 for 200ml of sun cream I have sensitive skin so couldn’t go for the £6 one but both of them were on sale. I don’t know how long it will last. my mum payed over £10 for the same one out of boots. How is anyone supposed to afford sun cream

Get ASDA own brand £3.20 200ml factor 30 sensitive skin.

Consistently performs well in Which? tests (usually outperforming branded ones)

Seaside3 · 16/05/2024 18:23

Aldi is usually very cheap and good.

dementedpixie · 16/05/2024 18:25

Buy cheaper stuff!
Own brand is fine and often has a higher star rating than branded stuff. I have used aldi, lidl, superdrug, boots, asda, tesco, etc and they have all worked great.

Agreed. Lidl isn’t bad either. I think some of the calypso ones are hypoallergenic and they are pretty cheap in b&m etc.

Deebee90 · 16/05/2024 18:29

Aldi is one of the cheapest but highest rated one. Same as Lidl and it’s only like £4 for a big bottle .

airforsharon · 17/05/2024 22:14

I buy Aldi's spf50 sensitive skin lotion, around £3 a bottle

Confortableorwhat · 17/05/2024 22:16

Wear clothes. One bottle lasts me all summer, just on the exposed bits.

mitogoshi · 17/05/2024 22:25

Buy it from Lidl

TheAceWoman · 17/05/2024 22:27

I get mine from Lidl. My DC are allergic to most sun creams but fine with Lidl's.

LondonQueen · 18/05/2024 12:36

I used the Aldi one in a pinch a few years ago before going on holiday and preferred it to the Nivea one I'd been using, used it ever since and they have ones for children.

Shinyandnew1 · 18/05/2024 12:38

What make are you buying?

Buy own brand, it’s much cheaper.

Sensitive formula, though I have the Lidl version in smaller size to be cabin bag compatible

dizzygirl1 · 18/05/2024 15:07

We use aldi. They generally do better than nivea in tests.

2031MummyTBC · 18/05/2024 15:10

Lidl suncream is fine for my acne-prone skin. Use it on face and body.

OliveK · 18/05/2024 15:18

Another vote for Aldi, it has a higher UVA rating than some of the big names too.
Love their wee handbag size bottles

Pieceofpurplesky · 18/05/2024 15:20

The Aldi one is brilliant - I am fair and burn easily - it's great.

Augustus40 · 21/05/2024 14:57

Any pound shop sells them as a rule.

Whatthetrolley · 23/05/2024 20:38

My dc have eczema and can only use La Roche Possay at £16 for 100ml. We used to be able to use Boots Baby but they changed the formula. Although thanks to this thread I've just had a quick Google and found 250ml for £20 #bargain
