I received PIP for the past 3 years. The current award is due to end on 25th May 2024 and I get around £380 paid every month on the 5th of each month.
They sent me the review forms about 4 months ago, I sent a lot of evidence and they also contacted my GP too to verify things . My condition has got worse and I had a big health scare in October which was documented in my review form.
I had the required phone interview review two months ago and received a text on 11th March to say a decision had been made and I would get a decision letter within two weeks.
I have received nothing whatsoever yet. No decision letter with the usual appeal information and write-up from the person who conducted the review on the phone on how the points were allocated so I am completely in the dark.
Then I noticed they paid me a random amount of money yesterday (£175) into my bank account.
I have no idea as what is going on...of course I will ring them after the bank holiday but can anyone think of what on earth they are doing with my claim?
I thought maybe the payment was because they are trying to award me less this time but as my current award is valid until 25th May they should not be cutting payment as this stage regardless. They should also have send me the decision and paperwork to appeal if that was the case.
I have been rather fragile since my last health scare and this uncertainty is causing further havoc and is really affecting me.
