We’ve been with Sky for nearly 5 years for Broadband and TV - we’ve always been happy with the deals we’ve got through them and haven’t had to haggle/threaten to cancel every 12/18 months.
We renewed with them again 6 months ago and even upgraded our broadband for £5 less than we’d been paying for our previous deal.
Unfortunately we’ve since gone down to 1 income and have been looking at ways to cut our bills. The Sky TV package is the only bill that’s not essential for us.
We are still in contract with them however.
I’ve called them a couple of times to see if they can reduce our package, reduce our bill etc but having zero luck. I even enquired about cancelling and the one off cost made it not worth it at all.
Obviously being in contract makes things more difficult but I’ve heard plenty of stories of people telling them they can’t afford to pay more than X amount per month and them then reducing it to that, halving their bill etc.
Has anyone had any luck haggling with Sky whilst still in contract recently?
