Does anyone know if you'll get it if money was taken for an advance repayment

Does anyone know if you receive this if you only get the childcare element of universal credit please?

Yes @Youvebeenmuffled You are entitled to UC as you receive a payment. It doesn’t matter whether that is just because of childcare costs.

@renthelp it looks at what your entitlement is before deductions I believe. Did you receive any payment for the assessment period that ended in that period?

@CornishTiger hi, no but it's nothing to do with that assessment period. It says on gov website 'might' receive if money was taken for what you owe: which is what's happened so hopefully in my case might means I'll get it

Are these dates for UC claimants only? I’m on TC but TC payments follow after the UC COL payments.

@renthelp did you have entitlement to UC before deductions for repayments etc ( not earnings) if so you’ll get it.

@CornishTiger Ty. I read the link and it’s confusing. The dates are for DWP benefits (not TC), but then further down it says payments for TC will begin shortly after. Those of us on TC will just have to wait to see if it appears between those dates.

Sorry I thought you were asking about eligibility dates not payment dates. Yes shortly after the DWP start Tax credits claimants will start getting theirs. Government don’t have a clue do they!

@CornishTiger yes, they only take advance payments after all deductions for everything else. They took everything which was left which was £47. If I hadn't had to pay back the advance I'd have got that £47
